NHS Hull (formerly Hull Teaching Primary Care Trust) is pleased to announce a re-appointment to its Board.
Hull Teaching PCT provides a range of primary health care services, such as health visiting and district nursing, to approximately 250,000 people across the city of Hull. The PCT also commissions other health services, such as hospital and mental health care, on behalf of its population.
With effect from 1st October 2009, Graham Powell has been re-appointed as the Audit Chair of NHS Hull until 30th September 2013. He will receive a remuneration of £13,136 per annum.
Prior to his role as Audit Chair of NHS Hull, Graham served on West Hull Primary Care Trust’s Board for five years and, before that, on the board of the Hull and Holderness Community Health Trust.
In the 1990’s Graham was the Chief Executive of the Sailor’s Families Society and prior to that he was a Divisional Director for the Fenner Group.
This re-appointment has been made in accordance with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments (OCPA) Code of Practice.
All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public.
Graham has not declared any political activity and does not hold any other ministerial appointments.
